Dino-Rama Sign Demolished at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

|

Following a permitting green light and the arrival of heavy equipment, we finally have our first real sign of demolition – the removal of the Dino-Rama entrance sign. The Dino-Rama section of DinoLand USA will be transformed into an Encanto-themed attraction as part of the larger Tropical Americas retheme of the land.

Dino-Rama Entrance Sign Demolished

We’ll start with a look back at the Dino-Rama entrance sign from before this section of DinoLand USA closed. For a more detailed look at Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama, check out our earlier article. For now, here’s a look back at the sign!

Here are some photos of the signage after the construction walls arrived, including with the heavy equipment staged right in front of the sign.

And here’s a look at the empty space where the sign used to sit from our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning.

From what we could see on the ground, there was no other demolition yet, but I’m willing to bet that’ll soon change. With the sign out of the way, the heavy equipment can make its way into Dino-Rama proper to either remove or demolish the Fossil Fun Games.
