Survey Suggests “Ultimate Dining Plan” Is Coming to Walt Disney World

A new survey unearthed by Touring Plans outlines potential changes on the horizon for the Disney Dining Plan. The survey asked guests for feedback about potential changes to the Disney Dining Plan, specifically the return of the Deluxe Dining Plan that offered more Table Service credits per day. In one version of the survey, the Deluxe-style dining plan is referred to as the “Ultimate Dining Plan”. Here’s a look at what Walt Disney World currently offers, and what could change.

Survey Hints at Ultimate Dining Plan Coming to Walt Disney World

Currently, Walt Disney World offers two Dining Plans – the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. Before we take a look at what could be coming, here’s a look at what each plan currently offers:

Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan

  • 2 Quick-Service Meals (per night of stay)
  • 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Disney Dining Plan

  • 1 Quick-Service Meal (per night of stay)
  • 1 Table-Service Meal (per night of stay)
  • 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Turning our attention back to the survey, we can see that Walt Disney World is asking guests about a potential third option – the Ultimate Dining Plan. Here’s a look at a graphic that was reportedly included in the survey to show what the “new” Ultimate Dining Plan would offer.

As you may have noticed, there is also a name change suggested for the existing dining plans. The existing Quick-Service Dining Plan would be renamed the “On-the-Go Dining Plan”, and the current Disney Dining Plan would be renamed the “Essentials Dining Plan”.

In a different version of the survey, Disney keeps the Quick-Service Dining Plan name, changes the Disney Dining Plan to the “Table-Service Dining Plan”, and renames the Ultimate Dining Plan to the “Deluxe Dining Plan”.

It seems like Disney is just as interested in the naming of a potential new plan and existing plans as they are in the dining plan structure itself.

Regardless of what Disney will end up calling the new dining plan (should it be implemented), here are the planned dining options for each tier:

On-the-Go/Quick Service

  • 0 Table-Service Meals
  • 2 Quick-Service Meals
  • 1 Snack or Non-Alcoholic Drink
  • 1 Resort Refillable Mug

Essentials/Table-Service

  • 1 Table-Service Meal
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal
  • 1 Snack or Non-Alcoholic Drink
  • 1 Resort Refillable Mug

Ultimate/Deluxe

  • 2 Table-Service Meals
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal
  • 1 Snack or Non-Alcoholic Drink
  • 1 Resort Refillable Mug

Longtime Disney fans will likely remember a version of the Dining Plan called the “Deluxe Dining Plan” years ago. It was discontinued when the theme parks shut down for COVID-19, and the Dining Plan was put on hiatus. The Deluxe plan did not return when the Disney Dining Plan returned, but this recent survey could hint that Disney is thinking about bringing it back!

Walt Disney World did not return requests for comments about the survey or potential changes to the Disney Dining Plan. A timeline for the potential change is unknowable.

  1. Longtime Disney fans would ALSO remember that the old plan had TWO snacks, not ONE, and was $5 cheaper!
