Following our report that 35 dining locations were removed from the 2026 Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World, a number of locations have returned to the list. In fact, more than two dozen dining locations have returned to the 2026 Disney Dining Plan. That said, not all locations are back on the Disney Dining Plan. Some venues that do not accept Dining Plan credits include popular spots like Starbucks and the Yak & Yeti Restaurant. Here’s a rundown of the recent changes.
Two Dozen Restaurants Return to 2026 Disney Dining Plan
Back in late December, we wrote an article outlining the restaurants that were on the 2025 Disney Dining Plan, but were not listed on the 2026 Disney Dining Plan. For guests who are unfamiliar, a number of restaurants at Disney Springs and within the Walt Disney World theme parks are operated by third-party entities. These restaurants still provide the excellent service and food that guests expect when visiting a world-class theme park complex, but they are run by outside companies.
Without knowing the specifics of each contract, it is assumed by the Disney fan community that the Disney Dining Plan contracts with these third-party restaurants are left to the last minute and completed at the end of the year. Many fans believe that the reason Disney doesn’t list these restaurants as Dining Plan participants for the new year is that the contracts are finalized at the stroke of midnight as the calendar switches from one year to the next. In reality, the exact reason that restaurants are not on the Dining Plan list until the last minute is unknown.
Without exact knowledge of when or why restaurants are not on the list, we compiled a list of restaurants that were not on the list as of publish time. Now, we have an update that includes more than two dozen restaurants that have been added to the Disney Dining Plan list for 2026. That said, some popular spots still remain off the list.
