With 2026 just around the corner, a lot of guests will be planning their Walt Disney World vacation (if you haven’t started planning already). One of Disney’s popular offer is the Disney Dining Plan and “free dining”. One of the yearlong perks offered in 2026 is a free dining plan for kids visiting Walt Disney World. In this article, we’re going to take a look at the changes to the Disney Dining Plan in 2026, including the removal of nearly 50 restaurants!

UPDATE (Jan. 2): Dozens of restaurants have been added back onto the 2026 Disney Dining Plan list. For the latest info, check out our article below. This article will remain unchanged for posterity.

35 Restaurants Removed from Disney Dining Plan in 2026

As a quick refresher, there are currently two types of Disney Dining Plans offered – the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan.

Quick-Service Dining Plan

  • 2 Quick-Service Meals (per night of stay)
  • 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Disney Dining Plan

  • 1 Quick-Service Meal (per night of stay)
  • 1 Table-Service Meal (per night of stay)
  • 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (per night of stay)
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug

Ok, this list wasn’t simple to put together, given some conflicting information on the Walt Disney World website. The restaurant search page has filters for the 2025 Dining Plan and the 2026 Dining Plan. If we were simply to find the restaurants that were present in the 2025 Dining Plan filter and not the 2026 Dining Plan filter, we’d have 48 restaurants, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. If we were to only use the relevant “Quick-Service” plan filters, we’d find that 16 locations were dropped in 2026.

That said, there is a better way to determine whether or not a restaurant will be on the Disney Dining Plan in 2026, and that’s to use the filters above in conjunction with checking every restaurant’s webpage to find out if the filter is correct or not.

Beyond that, we have to add some asterisks that we’ll explain after we take a look at the list of restaurants that we believe will not participate in the Disney Dining Plan when the calendar turns to 2026 in just a couple of days.

Here’s a full list of restaurants that were part of the 2025 Disney Dining Plan, but have not been added to the 2026 Disney Dining Plan. In total, there were 35 restaurants removed from the plan:

  • Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza* | Disney Springs
  • The BOATHOUSE | Disney Springs
  • Chef’s de France | EPCOT
  • Chicken Guy!* | Disney Springs
  • City Works Eatery & Pour House | Disney Springs

  • YeSake Kiosk* | Disney Springs

* “Some dining plans accepted” is listed on the webpage, but is missing from the 2026 list on the Walt Disney World website
** meal period changes, see below for more

Ok, time to explain the asterisks, starting with the single asterisk. For some reason, Walt Disney World has a confusing way of displaying Disney Dining Plan information on a restaurant’s webpage. Some restaurants (mostly table service), have a section that shows information about what the particular restaurant accepts.

For example, in the screenshot below, we can see that the popular Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom accepts the Disney Dining Plan in 2025 and 2026, and that guests will be required to spend 2 credits for lunch and 2 credits for dinner if they’d like to use the dining plan. Easy enough.

However, some webpages simply state “Some Dining Plans Accepted” with no additional information. Not exactly user-friendly when trying to plan a $10,000 vacation. In our list above, the dining locations with a single asterisk were dining pages that did not show up in the 2026 list and had no further Disney Dining Plan information on their webpages. We had to assume that the 2026 filter was correct in lieu of more information on the webpages.

Now for an explanation of the double asterisk. These are restaurants that are participating in the 2026 Disney Dining Plan, but have modified service to allow for more restrictions. We’ll explain the restrictions below to help you plan a visit and see if visiting those restaurants is even worth it in 2026:

  • The Edison is no longer accepting the Disney Dining Plan during the lunch meal period in 2026
  • Terralina Crafted Italian is no longer accepting the Disney Dining Plan during the dinner meal period in 2026
  • Tutto Italia Ristorante is no longer accepting the Disney Dining Plan during the dinner meal period in 2026
  • Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria is no longer accepting the Disney Dining Plan during the lunch meal period in 2026

In addition, Liberty Tree Tavern has added support for the Disney Dining Plan during the lunch meal period in 2026.

Even disregarding the dining locations with asterisks, we still have a pretty significant lineup of restaurants that currently do not support the 2026 Disney Dining Plan, including popular spots like The BOATHOUSE, Chef’s de France, Rainforest Cafe, Splitsville, Yak & Yeti, and more.

It’s possible that Walt Disney World has completely dropped those locations, but some of them are operated by third parties, so it’s possible that details are still being finalized.

  1. Seriously, why even both buying the Dining Plan anymore? Do people really think Disney is “giving you a deal” when buying early? If anything, it seems like another confusing aspect to planning a Disney vacation.

  2. All these changes, including previous ones are for the benefit of their customers.

I am tired of commenters insisting that ABC/DISNEY are profiteering on the backs of their customers.

    They love us all.

Just write to them they will tell you.

And stop telling me the covid emergency was used to manipulate the masses and game the system.

  3. City Works Eatery & Pour House is now showing up that it is eligible with 1 credit per meal. Earl of sandwich is also showing that it qualifies
