An update to the Walt Disney World website confirms that the ongoing porte cochere closure that was supposed to be wrapped up by now will be extended by two months. Here’s the latest.
Porte Cochere Closure Extended at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Previously announced to be closed through September, an updated message on the Walt Disney World website says that the Beach Club porte cochere will be closed through late November. Here’s the updated message, which also includes info on the previously announced extension of exterior maintenance through 2027.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing routine exterior maintenance through 2027. As part of this work, the porte cochere will be closed through late November 2025. This work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place.Â
While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available. All pools, resort dining and most other amenities will remain available.
Over at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, the porte cochere will be closed through the end of October, at a minimum. Walt Disney World has not announced an extension of that closure at this time. The Yacht Club porte cochere closed in July, while the Beach Club porte cochere closed in June.
