Walt Disney World Raises Lightning Lane Prices to New All-Time Highs (So Far)

|

A new fiscal year means price hikes. We just took a look at the new prices for Walt Disney World Annual Passes, but getting in the door is just the start of the price increases at The Most Magical Place on Earth. For guests looking to skip the lines, pricing on the Lightning Lane Pass suite of products has also increased and will likely continue to increase into the holiday season. Here’s a look at what has changed.

Lightning Lane Price Increases

Both the Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass products have seen price increases as part of Walt Disney World’s new fiscal year squeeze. Here’s a rundown of the price increases that we can see, so far. As a reminder, Walt Disney World only releases pricing data up to a few weeks at a time. That means that as we get closer to the holiday season, we’ll likely continue to see these prices jump as demand for a skip-the-line product increases.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass Price Increases

Here’s a look at the old maximum price and the new maximum price for the Lightning Lane Multi Pass product. As a reminder, Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to skip the line at dozens of attractions across all four Walt Disney World theme parks, based on availability. It’s sort of the buffet product versus the a la carte Lightning Lane Single Pass product that we’ll take a look at in a minute.

ParkOld PriceNew Price
Magic Kingdom$39$45
EPCOT$32$37
Disney’s Hollywood Studios$35$39
Disney’s Animal Kingdom$29$35

Lightning Lane Single Pass Price Increases

Skipping the line at Walt Disney World’s most popular attractions requires the Lightning Lane Single Pass product. You don’t have to purchase the Multi Pass to buy the Single Pass, but the following attractions are not part of the Multi Pass product. Here’s a look at the price increases for Lightning Lane Single Pass.

AttractionOld PriceNew Price
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train$14$15
TRON Lightcycle Run$22$23
Guardians of the Galaxy:
Cosmic Rewind
$19$22
Star Wars:
Rise of the Resistance
$25$25
Avatar Flight of Passage$18$19

Beyond the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass offerings, there was no visible change to the Lightning Lane Premier Pass product. As a reminder, the Premier Pass basically combines the Multi Pass and Single Pass products into a single purchase. Where the Premier Pass stands above the other two products (besides pricing) is that you don’t have to make reservations on an attraction-by-attraction basis with the Premier Pass. With Premier Pass, you simply walk up to an eligible attraction and skip the line (once per day).
