Following our report yesterday that the first vertical steel structure for the Encanto ride is now visible at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney Imagineering has shared a behind-the-scenes look! The video shows the busy construction site, and the work that was done yesterday morning to get the first vertical steel structure in place to start constructing the “show building”, or ride building, for the attraction.

Behind-the-Scenes Look at Vertical Construction of Encanto Ride at Animal Kingdom

As you’ll see below, the first vertical steel structure has been placed for the Encanto ride coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For some context on where this is, it’s basically the very back of the green ride building in the Tropical Americas model below. It looks like Disney is starting at the back of the site, and building “forward” toward the eventual Casita facade.

Here’s the behind-the-scenes video, which offers a cool look at the current state of construction for the attraction!
