Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Delta Dreamflight Marquee Removed from Magic Kingdom

|

As part of the ongoing reimagining of the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin attraction at Magic Kingdom, the entrance of the attraction is undergoing an overhaul. We first reported the possibility of a marquee change earlier this month. A week later, construction walls arrived, suggesting that a change was on the horizon. Now, the marquee has been removed as crews prepare for a refreshed entrance experience for the attraction. Here’s a closer look!

First, here’s a look back at the old marquee and wait time sign structure, both now removed.

Longtime Walt Disney World fans will remember when the “Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin” attraction marquee had a different look when the attraction was Delta Dreamflight. The sign was updated for the Buzz Lightyear retheme, but I believe it was still the same sign.

Here’s a look at the area today, with the wait time sign structure and the full marquee removed from the entrance as part of a reimagining. Walt Disney World has not announced any details about the change to the attraction’s entrance. No concept art has been shared.

As you can see, the pavement in front of the attraction’s entrance will soon be torn up. It could be a few weeks until we see the new attraction marquee take shape.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is scheduled to reopen sometime this Spring.
