Scrim Arrives for Pete’s Silly Sideshow Tent Replacement at Magic Kingdom

|

A new scrim has arrived to cover a portion of the Pete’s Silly Sideshow tent at Magic Kingdom. The scrim will be used to block guests’ view of what is expected to be an extensive refurbishment of the tent and supporting structure. Here’s the latest from Magic Kingdom!

Scrim Arrives for Pete’s Silly Sideshow Refurbishment

While construction walls went up the day after Pete’s Silly Sideshow closed, the scrim only arrived recently. We expect that most of the tent will be covered in scrim over the coming weeks as crews perform an extensive, months-long refurbishment of the tent. It is believed that the nearby Big Top Souvenirs will be next for crews. A reopening timeframe for Pete’s Silly Sideshow hasn’t been identified. In the meantime, you can meet Minnie Mouse and Goofy, along with Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, in temporary meet and greet locations.

Here’s a look at the Pete’s Silly Sideshow structure from our visit to Magic Kingdom this morning. It is likely that the scaffolding not only holds the scrim, but will also be utilized by crews to access the sent during the refurbishment.

On the right side of the tent, we can see scaffolding starting to rise, likely to support more scrim coverage.
