DinoLand USA Closed to Guests, Cast-Exclusive Farewell Event Underway

|

Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom where DinoLand USA has gone extinct. At least, for regular guests. Overnight, Disney covered the DinoLand USA sign, and rolled in temporary planters, blocking access to the land. However, the DINOSAUR attraction isn’t done operating just yet. Here’s the latest.

DinoLand USA Closed Permanently

As you can see in our photos below, the DinoLand USA sign has been covered. Here’s a look at the sign from yesterday, followed by a look at the sign as it stands today. The sign will likely be removed soon.

The perimeter walkway around DinoLand USA remains open for guests looking to get to the Finding Nemo show, or Expedition Everest. I’m not sure that this walkway will ever have to close, but we’ll keep an eye on it.

Cast Member Farewell Event

As has been tradition lately, Cast Members are the last to ride and experience a closing attraction. This morning, Cast Members at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were invited to experience the DINOSAUR attraction one final time before it is handed over to the Walt Disney Imagineering team for a transformation into an Indiana Jones-themed attraction.
