DINOSAUR Attraction Facing Extended Downtime on Final Day of Operation, Guests Evacuated

|

UPDATE (12pm): DINOSAUR is back open with a 140-minute wait time. Our original article continues below, unchanged for posterity.

The DINOSAUR attraction is limping across the finish line at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The attraction is currently down, according to the My Disney Experience app. DINOSAUR had a delayed opening this morning, and has now been down for an extended period of time as guests pack the queue for one final ride before the ride closes permanently at the end of the day.

DINOSAUR Experiences Extended Downtime on Final Day

DINOSAUR temporarily closed shortly before 11am, and the ride is reportedly being evacuated as it faces an extended downtime. It’s unclear when the attraction will reopen, but we’re sure that Cast Members are working hard to get it operating again.

DINOSAUR has been facing some operational challenges in its closing days. The downtime is reportedly due to the ride vehicles or ride system experiencing issues. The Audio-Animatronics themselves appear to be working as well as they have been in recent years.

As a reminder, the entirety of DinoLand USA, including the DINOSAUR attraction, will be closed permanently at the end of the operating day today. DinoLand USA is being transformed into a Tropical Americas-themed land, and will reopen to guests in 2027.

  1. It has gone down because the queue would be three hours long at park close and cast members need to get home to the warm!
