Good evening from Magic Kingdom, where there is a little bit more pixie dust than normal! After teasing an aerial component for the Peter Pan unit in the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Parade since the first piece of concept art dropped, tonight is finally the night. We made it out to Magic Kingdom tonight to capture photos and video of the milestone.
Peter Pan & Wendy Fly During Disney Starlight Parade
Peter Pan and Wendy were spotted flying down Main Street USA tonight during the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade! This is the first time that the duo has been spotted flying over the rooftops of the London city skyline. The choreography adds some extra magic to Magic Kingdom’s nightly nighttime parade, weather permitting.
While Peter Pan and Wendy took flight early in the parade route, heavy rain during the 8:30pm performance forced them to stay rooftop-bound for the rest of the parade. We snapped a few photos right as the worst of it was coming down. As with any element of any entertainment offering, Peter Pan & Wendy flying is subject to safe weather conditions. That said, this should be a nightly occurrence from now on!
Here are some more photos from the 10:30pm performance. During the later performance, weather was not an issue, and Peter Pan and Wendy flew periodically throughout the entire parade route!
