After yesterday’s registration delay left runners waiting, runDisney has confirmed a new date. General registration for the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will open Monday, June 8 at 10:00am ET. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon in a statement posted to runDisney social accounts. runDisney did not provide a reason for the original delay, and it has not said what changed to allow registration to proceed next week. The weekend itself, set for February 25 through March 1, 2027 at Walt Disney World Resort, remains on schedule.

WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY
As we reported, general registration for the 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend was scheduled to open Tuesday, June 2 at 10:00am ET, following Club runDisney Gold and Platinum member registration that began May 26. Registration never opened. runDisney issued a series of updates throughout the day, ultimately confirming that registration would not happen that week and promising at least 24 hours’ notice before a new date was set.
The new Wednesday afternoon statement from runDisney reads:
We appreciate everyone who has been following along and waiting for this update. The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend registration will now open on Monday, June 8 at 10:00 AM ET. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued excitement for race weekend.
No explanation for the original failure was offered.
WHAT TO KNOW FOR MONDAY
Registration opens at 10:00am ET on Monday, June 8. The 2027 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend includes five events:
- Disney Princess 5K (February 25), themed to Princess Tiana
- Disney Princess 10K (February 26), themed to Snow White
- Disney Princess Half Marathon (February 28), themed to Princess Jasmine
- Disney Fairy Tale Challenge (10K + Half Marathon combined)
- Disney Princess Yoga at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Proof of time is required for the half marathon if you expect to finish in 2 hours and 30 minutes or under. Proof must come from an officially timed race with results between January 1, 2024 and October 1, 2026. The accepted distances are 10K, 10-mile, half marathon, or full marathon. Proof of time is not required for the 5K or 10K.
Given Tuesday’s demand, expect significant traffic to the registration site Monday morning. Have your proof of time and payment information ready before 10:00am ET.
