Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, a Deluxe Resort hotel at Walt Disney World, has been without air conditioning for the past 24 hours. Reports on social media began around 2pm yesterday as Disney reportedly adjusted operations at dining locations. According to reports, the air conditioning is out hotel-wide, including common spaces, guest rooms, and restaurants.
In what is likely a related operational adjustment, there are no reservations available for either Artist Point or Whispering Canyon Cafe for today, June 19th and tomorrow, June 20th.
The air conditioning outage comes as the Central Florida area is dealing with elevated temperatures. The past two days, the Walt Disney World area has been under a Heat Advisory. During this time, “feels like” temperatures are forecast in the 105-111° range.
Walt Disney World has not returned a request for comment about the reported air conditioning outage. It’s unclear what, if anything, Disney is doing right now to address the issue. Disney also hasn’t said what they might be doing to assist guests during this time. If we learn more, we’ll be sure to share.
