Wilderness Lodge Dock Refurbishment Extended, New Closure Announced

For a little bit of context, Disney previously announced that the Wilderness Lodge dock would undergo a refurbishment from January 12th through “early April”. During that time, boat transportation would be suspended from January 12-30.

Now, Disney has announced a continuation of the dock refurbishment and a new closure window for boat transportation.

The newly announced refurbishment will be from April 13 through late July. Boat transportation to Wilderness Lodge will be suspended from April 13 to May 1. Here’s the announcement:

From April 13 through late July 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from April 13–May 1.

Currently, boats travel from Wilderness Lodge to either Magic Kingdom or Fort Wilderness. In the afternoons, boat transportation adds Disney’s Contemporary Resort to the loop as well.
