Disney Bus Appears to Catch Fire

Bus Photographed Smoking at Osceola Parkway Intersection
The photo shows one of Disney’s extra-long articulated buses stopped at the intersection of Osceola Parkway and West Buena Vista Drive. That intersection sits near the turn for the All-Star Resorts and McDonald’s. Heavy gray smoke pours from the back of the bus, where the engine sits. No flames are visible in the photo.
Residue is visible on the pavement beneath the bus. The residue looks consistent with a fire suppression system discharge. That would suggest a fire broke out and was put out. It’s not confirmed whether a fire actually occurred or what caused it. We’ve reached out to Walt Disney World for more information. Disney has not yet responded.
We don’t know if anyone was hurt. No passengers appear in the photo. Traffic around the bus appeared to be moving through the intersection.
The intersection was reportedly cleared a few hours later.
