The indoor Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto remains open throughout.
Disney Sets Late October Timeline for Tiki Terrace Reopening

Disney’s updated notice reads, “Through late October, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be temporarily closed due to refurbishment work at the Grand Ceremonial House.” That language replaces Disney’s original notice. This earlier version had called for the closure to run from mid-April through late June.
That original window came and went without a reopening or updated closure notice. We wrote about the quiet refurbishment extension just yesterday. Today, Disney issued an update.
Disney hasn’t detailed what specific work remains at the Great Ceremonial House, although there is extensive outdoor refurbishment. It’s also unclear whether late October is a firm date. Given the venue’s recent history, another shift is possible. The indoor Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto continues normal operations throughout the closure.
