Good afternoon from Magic Kingdom and the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the 2026 season! We’ve already taken a first look at the event map. Now the gates are open, and we’re getting our first look at what’s new for the event. Just like the map leaned into the Haunted Mansion for a theme, so too has the welcome street. There are not one, but two all-new characters this year. Here’s a closer look!

The first character that guests will see is Blair Lockward, chief steward of the Haunted Mansion. He welcomes guests to the party and hurries their bodies along the walkway to collect the first candy of the evening.
Further along the path are the gravediggers, ready to snap a photo with guests before they move on to the Boo-To-You Parade later in the evening.
Finally, guests find Lady Fermotta, another all-new character from the Mansion.

Why are there guests entering behind main street?
Great question! Disney uses the “Market Street Welcome”, or the Main Street bypass as a welcome corridor for guests. All guests still enter the park through the main entrance, but are then directed to the bypass street starting near Tony’s Town Square and then dumped into an area near The Plaza Restaurant. This helps with guest flow as day guests are leaving down Main Street USA proper, and party guests enter through the themed bypass
