Disney has shared a first look at the lobby and dining venues coming to Disney Lakeshore Lodge. The Disney Vacation Club resort is under construction on the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World. This reveal covers the resort’s arrival experience, three restaurants, and a lounge. All are built around the property’s nature and Pocahontas-inspired theming. Disney Lakeshore Lodge is set to open next summer. Here’s a look around!

A Pocahontas-Inspired Arrival
Guests arriving at Disney Lakeshore Lodge will step into a lobby built around floor-to-ceiling windows. Those windows frame views of The Wetlands, the outdoor recreation area we got our first look at in June. Disney says the design lets the surrounding flora and fauna carry into the architecture, artwork, and ambiance of the space.
The lobby draws its theme from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas. A fiberoptic river will run across the floor. Overhead, a blown glass sculpture inspired by “Colors of the Wind” will hang from the ceiling. It is made up of hundreds of suspended glass leaves.
Custom tapestries based on the film’s landscapes will appear throughout the space. Furnishings finished with river-recovered cypress wood accents round out the natural materials Disney plans to use in the lobby.
Three Restaurants and a Lounge Round Out the Lineup
Disney Lakeshore Lodge will debut with three distinct dining venues. They range from a grab-and-go marketplace to a table-service restaurant on the water. Each ties back to the resort’s setting on Bay Lake.
Moonglade will serve as the resort’s table-service option. It sits directly on the lakefront, with water views built into every course. The restaurant will focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Floor-to-ceiling windows will frame the cypress trees along Bay Lake. Lighting throughout the space is designed to play off the natural interplay of light and shadow.
Bay Lake Provisions will handle quick-service duty as an all-day marketplace with specialty coffees and an open-kitchen setup. Disney says the space will also include hidden details inspired by woodland characters from classic Disney animated films, giving guests something to spot while they eat.
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will serve as the resort’s pool bar, located near Lakeshore Lagoon within The Wetlands. The venue draws inspiration from plein-air painting. It will display original artwork created by Imagineers during their research trips around the Bay Lake landscape, alongside shareable bites and specialty drinks.
Rounding out the reveal is Dandelion Terrace, a lounge positioned for views of Magic Kingdom fireworks reflecting off Bay Lake after sunset. The space will house a two-story gallery of archival artwork from Disney classics including Fantasia. Dandelion-shaped light fixtures will appear throughout the lounge.
Disney has not yet announced a specific opening date beyond next summer, and other details like room rates and dining reservations remain unconfirmed. We will keep tracking Disney Lakeshore Lodge as more information becomes available.
