Disney Vacation Club has unveiled the Member “First Wave” Experience, a preview stay that allows eligible Members to stay at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge before the resort welcomes the general public. The four-day, three-night experience runs June 24 through 27, 2027, ahead of the hotel’s official opening on July 1, 2027. Booking opens November 7, 2026, at 10:00am Eastern Time, exclusively through Member Services. The package bundles a resort stay, park tickets, and several dining experiences into one Member-exclusive offering.

What’s Included in the Lakeshore Lodge “First Wave” Experience
At the center of the offer is a four-day, three-night stay at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge on the shores of Bay Lake. It’s timed so Members experience the resort before its official debut. Each Guest age 3 and older also receives a 3-day Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket with the Park Hopper option. That ticket allows entry across all four theme parks on any of the three days it’s used.
Dining makes up a substantial share of the package offerings. Members receive one dinner at Moonglade, the table-service restaurant Disney has previously detailed as Lakeshore Lodge’s lakefront dining venue with cypress-framed views of Bay Lake. The itinerary also includes one breakfast at Pioneer Hall and one dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Both are existing Fort Wilderness dining traditions rather than new Lakeshore Lodge venues. On top of those meals, Guests age 3 and older each get a $200 Disney Dining Promo Card. It can be used toward additional dining during the stay.
Disney is also including behind-the-scenes insights into how Lakeshore Lodge came together, along with commemorative keepsakes created specifically for the event. A fuller itinerary is coming later, with curated event experiences released and bookable down the road, per Disney.
Reservation Points and Pricing by Accommodation
Pricing is built on Reservation Points rather than standard cash rates in most cases. The published points chart covers the first and second Guests in each accommodation. Below are the per-accommodation point totals Disney has released for the 2027 event.

- Deluxe Studio, Resort View: 198 Reservation Points
- Resort Studio, Preferred View: 196 Reservation Points
- Deluxe Studio, Preferred View: 200 Reservation Points
- Deluxe Studio, Premium View: 216 Reservation Points
- 1 Bedroom Villa, Resort View: 248 Reservation Points
- 1 Bedroom Villa, Preferred View: 260 Reservation Points
- 1 Bedroom Villa, Premium View: 524 Reservation Points
- 2 Bedroom Villa, Preferred View: 308 Reservation Points
- 2 Bedroom Villa, Premium View: 336 Reservation Points
- 3 Bedroom Grand Villa: 420 Reservation Points
- 1 Bedroom, Lake House: 532 Reservation Points
- 2 Bedroom, Lake House: 424 Reservation Points
Additional Guests beyond the first two in the same accommodation pay per-person rates in either points or cash. A third or later adult, age 10 and up, costs 68 Reservation Points or $1,349 in cash. For a child ages 3 through 9, it’s 50 Reservation Points or $999 in cash. Payment for the first and second Guests in the travel party must be made using Reservation Points only, and at least one of those two must be the primary or lead Guest on the reservation.
Booking Window, Eligibility, and Rules
Booking opens Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:00am Eastern Time. Reservations can only be made by phone through Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800. Disney is not accepting “First Wave” bookings through email, live chat, Member Online Booking, or in person at Member Lounges or Welcome Home Centers. Member Services will run extended hours from 10:00am to 4:00pm Eastern Time on November 7th to handle “First Wave” bookings and any other Resort arrivals within 5 days of that date. Normal operations resume at 9:00am Eastern Time on November 8th.
Members must qualify for Membership Extras benefits to be eligible. Anyone listed on the Membership, including Associates, can place the call to book. The usual DVC Rule of Four does not apply to this event. Eligible Members can book a maximum of 2 rooms per Membership. Resale buyers are shut out of this one. Members who acquired their ownership interests through resale rather than directly from Disney cannot use their Vacation Points for “First Wave” bookings. Eligible Membership Cards also require at least 150 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, LLC, under the June 3, 2021 policy update.
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Disney is waiving the standard $95 initial transaction fee for this event, though a $95 fee still applies to any later modification. Payment options are flexible for anyone not using points. Members not paying with Reservation Points can use a Disney Gift Card, JCB, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Popular room types are expected to sell out quickly. Members should have some information ready before calling: Membership number, room type preferences in order of priority, any special medical needs, legal name and middle initial as it appears on government-issued ID, age, and phone number. If the event sells out, Disney says Members can join a waitlist by calling Member Services directly.
