PHOTOS: Disney Installs “Do Not Lean Against Door” Signs in Monorails

With the news of monorail doors opening during transportation of guests, we went out to Magic Kingdom today to report on the stickers Disney recently installed in their monorails. The signs are installed above every door of every monorail in the fleet and warn guests not to lean on the monorail doors.

While the stickers were installed before the door opening incident, it’s possible that Disney knew that monorails could suffer from this issue and installed the stickers as a secondary precaution in addition to the recorded message.

With a fleet nearly 30 years old, we hope Disney is exploring additional options besides a sticker to ensure guest safety.

  1. So instead of putting money into fixing the problem, they are just putting up signs. That seams the safest option
