When we broke the news of a sinking Jungle Cruise boat at Magic Kingdom earlier today, the story went viral. Disney did not immediately comment on the incident when the Orlando Sentinel reached out, but has since offered an official statement.

A Disney spokesperson offered the following official statement about the incident, via Laughing Place:

“A boat took on some water. Reedy Creek Fire Department responded immediately to this event. Everyone got out of the boat safely. We worked with guests individually so that they could enjoy the rest of their day in the park. The attraction has reopened.”
