Latest Aerial Look at Abandoned Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge Construction Site, Heavy Construction Equipment Removed

Friend of the site @bioreconstruct recently took a helicopter flight over Disney World and captured an updated aerial photo of the construction site for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge is rumored to be cancelled, and the latest aerial photo supports that. As you can see below, the site is becoming a little more “green” as nature begins to reclaim a construction site that hasn’t been touched in months.

First, here’s a look back at the site from June, where Disney laid down what appeared to be seeding for growing grass on the site after it was rumored to be cancelled.

Now, here’s a look at the site as it sits now. As you can see, the site has been largely abandoned, with the heavy equipment removed and construction elements unmoved for the past two months. At this point, it’s unclear why there are cars parked on site

As far as evidence for the cancellation beyond the visible, Disney has also removed any references to the project from the most recent D23 Expo blog posts.

Disney has not officially announced the cancellation or postponement of the project, so any cancellation rumors should be treated as unofficial.
