According to the internal Disney World refurbishment calendar, the Tomorrowland PeopleMover will be closed for refurbishment through Christmas. The Tomorrowland PeopleMover is currently listed as closed for refurbishment through December 26, 2020.
Disney last provided an update on the attraction a month ago, when BlogMickey.com reported that the attraction would be closed through the end of November. Since then, Disney has stuck with the late-November date until today, when they provided an update stating that the attraction would be closed through Christmas.
According to our earlier reporting, Disney World is working on replacing all of the magnetic linear induction motors along the 5400′ track.
The Tomorrowland PeopleMover didn’t reopen with the rest of Magic Kingdom on July 11th following the COVID-19 closures. The PeopleMover was experiencing issues even before the theme parks closed.
