Well, it seemed like a PeopleMover reopening later this week may have been too good to be true, and it turns out that it is. According to Walt Disney World, the Tomorrowland PeopleMover refurbishment has, once again, been extended at Magic Kingdom. Now, the Tomorrowland PeopleMover is listed as under refurbishment through January 30, 2021.

The Tomorrowland PeopleMover has had over a half-dozen refurbishment extensions dating back to last summer when the attraction went from “unexpectedly closed” to an official refurbishment status. The Tomorrowland PeopleMover hasn’t operated since before the theme parks closed for COVID-19 back in March 2020.

Back in December, Disney began testing the Tomorrowland PeopleMover as they performed maintenance and upgrades on the ride.
