Demolition of Innoventions West Breezeway Resumes at EPCOT

While Disney has been focused on the north side of the Innoventions West building at EPCOT, we noticed some new demolition today on the south side of the building where there used to be a breezeway that guests would walk under to access The Land pavilion and Soarin’.

First, here’s a look back at the breezeway on the right side of the archive image below.

Now, here’s a reverse view of the same breezeway from earlier today.

An even closer look shows that Disney is tearing off the roof – signs of progress on the south end of this structure for the first time in weeks, if not months.

Here’s another view from further south – near the Imagination pavilion.

We can see parts of the roof sitting in the dumpster now. As an aside, it’s pretty amazing to see the EPCOT feature fountain from the Imagination Pavilion. Disney is creating sightlines never before seen as they level the center of EPCOT to reimagine the theme park.
