Fantasmic Theater Sits Empty and Drained as Other Nighttime Entertainment Returns to Walt Disney World

New aerial photos from friend of the site bioreconstruct are almost identical to other aerial photos in recent months as the Fantasmic theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios appears almost abandoned. This comes after a rumor that BlogMickey.com ran that says Fantasmic won’t return until 2022.

Here’s a look at the theater from the past few months as it does little more than collect rain water. It is believed that quite a bit of work needs to take place at the theater before Disney is ready to reopen the nighttime show, but it looks like the work isn’t taking place fully yet.

    Fantasmic – April 25
    Fantasmic – May 5

While Happily Ever After and EPCOT Forever will return on July 1st, Disney has not announced a reopening date for Fantasmic and other nighttime entertainment at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

    1. Please post more of this. 180 entertainment technicians still wait in other roles because the company refuses to bring back more entertainment offerings. Over 400 displaced IATSE members sit waiting for entertainment to return to the Disney parks. Help us put pressure on the company to bring back entertainment.
