In a call with Travel Agents, Disney clarified when, exactly, guests can purchase Disney Genie+ for their visit. According to information on the call, guests can purchase Disney Genie+ starting at midnight on the day that they will visit.
Of course, you won’t be required to stay up until midnight if you don’t want to. What you’re purchasing at midnight, or anytime after that, is the Genie+ entitlement for your ticket. You won’t make actual Disney Genie+ attraction selections until 7am.
If guests have a date-based ticket or vacation package, they will be able to purchase Disney Genie+ as part of the package. That said, all guests will still only be allowed to make selections on the day of their visit.
Beyond Genie+, guests have the option to purchase expedited access to some of the most high-demand attractions using Lightning Lane (a separate, standalone purchase). Disney World Resort hotel guests will be able to purchase Lightning Lane access at 7am, while non-hotel guests will be able to make selections once the park opens.
