Nova Corps Starblaster Ship Installation Completed at EPCOT

Good morning from EPCOT and the World Discovery section of the park. As part of the ongoing transformation of the park, a brand-new Guardians of the Galaxy-themed roller coaster is taking over the Ellen’s Energy Adventure area. Of course, Disney had to build a massive “gravity building” where the majority of the roller coaster sits, but Disney also made some modifications to the entrance plaza for the attraction. Still diamond-shaped, the entrance plaza now features a 51-foot-tall Nova Corps Starblaster space ship as the focal point of the attraction.

    1. I have wondered how they planned to hide the support beam. Looking at the pictures you have taken, the top of the beam is painted to match the cockpit. Then I saw the concept art with Rocket and Groot, that shows an additional landing support that wasn’t in the previous art. Looks like that will be how they hide the beam. Thanks again for the pictures and info!
