With less than 6 months until the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary officially ends on March 31, 2023, Disney World has begun to advertise the end of the anniversary on its website and in its marketing materials for travel agencies. A commercial is also airing nationwide advertising the end of the anniversary.

On the 50th Anniversary page, Disney notes that it’s the “last chance to see” the Beacons of Magic, Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade, and limited-time merchandise offerings before they go away at the end of the celebration. Other offerings like the Fab 50 Character sculptures don’t fall under the “last chance to see” category, but it’s likely that the “last chance” section is not a complete list of what will be ending starting April 1, 2023.
The 50th Anniversary has been a mixed bag for many guests. While there have been some wonderful additions to Walt Disney World attached to the 50th Anniversary such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Disney is presumably aware that the celebration has fallen short in some respects. From a survey asking guests if they even realized there was a 50th Anniversary, to a rare first-year update to add missing nostalgia to a nighttime spectacular, and even canning both nighttime shows that were meant to be long-term offerings, there have been some hints that the anniversary may have fallen short.

That said, it all ends on March 31, 2023 when Disney will start to shift more of its attention to the 100th Anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. While the Disney100 celebrations will be centered in Disneyland, there will be a new nighttime show at EPCOT that will replace Harmonious and celebrate Disney100.
