Next Round of Layoffs Underway at Disney, Expected to Reach 4,000 Cuts By End of Week

According to a report from Variety, The Walt Disney Company is beginning its second wave of layoffs this week, with a total of 4,000 jobs cut by this Thursday. Disney is targeting a reduction of 7,000 jobs this year, with the final wave expected to hit before summer.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the layoffs back in February. It is expected that every division of the company will be impacted, but the Parks Division layoffs are not expected to impact hourly frontline workers.
