It’s the first day of a new era of Disney Genie+ at Walt Disney World, again. Starting today, Disney Genie+ introduced park-specific pricing for the skip-the-line service. This means that not only will the price of the service vary by date (as introduced in October 2022), but there will be different prices for the service based on which park you’d like to use it in. Here’s a look at the in-app flow of checking the price for a specific park.
As noted above, guests who wish to use Genie+ at multiple theme parks as part of a park-hopping strategy should choose the “multiple parks” option, which will function the same way that Genie+ had prior to today.
Guests may pruchase Disney Genie+ service by selecting the theme park you are planning to visit that day or selecting the “Multiple Parks” option if you are planning to visit more than one theme park and your ticket or pass includes the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus opiton that day.
Going forward, we expect that Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain above the 2023 average price of $22, while EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will mostly stay below that price point. With this pricing structure change, Disney World is acknowledging that not all parks are created equal when it comes to the value of a skip-the-line service, and the changes will allow Disney World and guests more flexibility going forward.
