While visiting Magic Kingdom recently, we decided to check in on the Encanto meet & greet space as crews transform it from a Brave theme where Merida used to meet into a whimsical space for Mirabel to meet with guests later this Fall. Prop removal has begun as well as some tree trimming to support area work.
In the photos below, we can see a more “open” look to the space with the removal of tarps that provided some shade to the meet & greet space as well as some tree trimming. Other trees in the area are marked, potentially for removal or trimming as Disney World adjusts the space for what BlogMickey.com is told will be a more accommodating queue for expected larger crowds.
An exceptionally low construction wall provides an easy peek into the construction site. Many props remain, but a high-reach crane is in the space to allow for the removal of the tarps that used to be above it, and likely to allow for easier access for tree trimming.
In the hills behind the meet and greet, flags and markers can be seen ahead of what will likely be more tree trimming or removal for a larger queue area.
