While visiting the Magic Kingdom today, we decided to stop by Liberty Square and The Haunted Mansion attraction.
Our original hope for our visit was to find some evidence that the Hatbox Ghost would be materializing soon, but we failed on that front. Instead, while riding through the graveyard, we noticed that the glowing hearse effect that was added to the ride this spring was not activated.
In fact, the effect has not been active the last few times we’ve ridden over the past couple of weeks, at least. It’s not immediately clear why the effect was turned off or not working. We thought it was a wonderful effect that, while showing up intensely in photos, was subtle enough to enjoy when touring the graveyard.
