A new lighting effect has been added to The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. The effect has been in place for at least a few weeks, but we recently returned to Magic Kingdom to get some photos of the effect. As you can see in the photos below, the eerie new lighting creates a red glow from within a hearse within the graveyard as ghosts gather around it. Here are some photos of the new lighting effect, which pulses a bit like a flickering candle. The images show more light than your eyes would see, especially if your night vision doesn’t kick in after waiting for an hour in the Florida sun.
Later this year, the Hatbox Ghost will be added to The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom.
