The Country Bear Jamboree is currently closed at Magic Kingdom, the second day in a row that the attraction has not operated after running for the first two days of the year. It’s possible that something went wrong either in the overnight hours or the morning of January 3rd, prompting the attraction to remain closed for the entire day on the 3rd and so far on the 4th.
Later this year, Disney will unveil a new version of the attraction called the Country Bear Musical Jamboree where the bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music – like rockabilly, bluegrass, pop-country and other styles.
Imagineers are envisioning the new take as a homage to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and they’re working with Nashville musicians to get the authentic country sound. The popular attraction will continue to have the fun and friendly tone and same characters.
Disney World has not announced a closure date for the attraction yet.
