Monorail Peach Removed from Service for Second Round of Refurbishment at Disney World

The next monorail to undergo a second round of refurbishment is Monorail Peach. The first round of monorail refurbishments were completed in August 2022, but some monorails required a second trip back to the roundhouse.

Instead of upgrading the monorail fleet, Disney World decided to refresh the current fleet starting back in June 2019. By August 2022, all of the monorails had made it back to the maintenance barn for their initial refurbishments, but because the work took so long, we’re told that some monorails received upgrades that others didn’t. That would mean that some monorails would require a second round of refurbishments.

Starting in October 2022, the second wave of refurbishments began when Monorail Black went back for another round of maintenance.

Monorail Peach was removed from service recently and will undergo a multi-week or multi-month refurbishment before returning to service sometime this Spring.
