Following early reporting that Jungle Cruise would be closing in late August for a refurbishment, Disney World has released a statement about the closure, which begins August 26th. Notably, Disney World says that the ride will reopen in time for the holiday season, which begins November 8th. An exact reopening date has not been announced, and Jungle Cruise is still not listed as an available attraction for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Jungle Cruise Refurbishment

Beginning August 26, 2024, Jungle Cruise will temporarily close for refurbishment. The attraction is scheduled to reopen for Guests before the winter holidays begin at Walt Disney World.

As for the nature of the refurbishment, Disney World has not returned requests for comment, but a permit was filed for underwater work at the attraction back in April. It is unlikely that there will be any show changes during the refurbishment.
