A rather last-minute announcement has been made by Walt Disney World, noting that the Swiss Family Treehouse walk-through attraction will be closed for refurbishment starting next week. The attraction will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 18th, and it won’t reopen until Friday, Dec. 20th.
Swiss Family Treehouse Refurbishment
Typically, Walt Disney World does a pretty good job of providing some advance notice for attraction refurbishments, so offering less than a week’s notice could indicate that there is an issue that needs to be addressed quickly.
The Swiss Family Treehouse is an opening-day attraction at Magic Kingdom located in the Adventureland section of the park. The multi-story treehouse invites guests to explore the various rooms and living spaces that appear to have been fashioned from materials found and reused by the Robinson family. The treehouse offers unique, elevated views of Adventureland and beyond.
The last refurbishment for the attraction was in 2021, but it was brief. A more expansive refurbishment was carried out back in 2016. It’s unlikely that significant changes can be made in a month for this upcoming refurbishment, but we’ll keep an eye on the work once it begins.
