As part of a marketing push for Summer activations at Walt Disney World, Disney announced opening dates for two all-new stage shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and some limited-time offerings for kids at the theme parks. One thing that was missing was an opening date for the all-new Disney Starlight Nighttime Parade. Here’s the latest.
Disney Starlight Nighttime Parade Debuting at Magic Kingdom “Later This Summer”
While Walt Disney World had previously announced a Summer 2025 opening for the Disney Starlight nighttime parade (and it looks like they’ll still hit that target), an update from Disney today says that guests can expect the parade to debut “later this summer”.
Typically, we see Walt Disney World debut Summer offerings on or around Memorial Day Weekend, and the two Hollywood Studios stage shows are no exception to that rule. However, it looks like the Disney Starlight nighttime parade will not hit that Memorial Day weekend opening timeframe, and instead debut sometime in the Summer season, perhaps even in late Summer.

Plus, the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight, is coming to Magic Kingdom later this summer. Your little ones will want to stay up for this one, where you’ll spot beloved characters from “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen” and more. It’s our first nighttime parade at Disney World in nearly 10 years! Stay tuned for more details and an opening date as we put on the finishing touches.
