While visiting Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds today, we stopped by to check out the latest work on the Disney Lakeshore Lodge hotel being built just steps away from Pioneer Hall on Bay Lake. While construction progress on the hotel is continuing along nicely, it was actually some A-frame cabins that caught our eye.
Lakeshore Lodge Cabins
The cabins are installed along a section of land that used to be Clementine Beach. Now, it will be leveraged by Disney Vacation Club for some uber-expensive real estate. Foundation work for the cabins began back in April, and the tent-shaped structures are now being installed along the shoreline of Bay Lake. It looks like these particular cabins will be two stories tall, featuring wonderful views of Bay Lake.
Disney has previously filed a permit for 14 cabins, split to either side of the sprawling Lakeshore Lodge hotel. Back when the property was named Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, Disney announced a mixture of these A-frame cabins and treehouse-style cabins.
