Darth Vader Meet and Greet Moved to Ewok Village at Hollywood Studios

|

Fear not, loyalists. Darth Vader may have been kicked out of the now-closed Star Wars Launch Bay, but he has found a new home near Star Tours to continue to meet with guests. We made it out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently to meet with Darth Vader in his new spot beneath the canopy of the Ewok Village in the extended outdoor queue for Star Tours. Here’s a look!

Darth Vader Meet and Greet Moved to Star Tours

In order to find the entrance to the Darth Vader meet and greet, walk around to the right side of the Star Tours area, like you’re walking to the Tatooine Traders gift shop. The entrance to the Darth Vader meet and greet can be found at the end of the low wall. We arrived as Cast Members were setting up, so the chains were still in place. That said, once the meet and greet opened, there was a Cast Member stationed here to welcome guests to the meet and greet.

A small amount of winding through the queue eventually leads us to Darth Vader. Just like at Star Wars Launch Bay, Darth Vader speaks with guests. Here’s a look!

Another “change” is that Chewbacca is no longer meeting at Star Wars Launch Bay. Instead, he has a traditional queue in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Readers of this site will remember that the “change” actually took place earlier this Summer when we first spotted Chewbacca’s more traditional meet and greet back in July. At the time, I had assumed that it was for heat-related purposes, but perhaps that was the wheels already being set in motion for when the Star Wars Launch Bay closed.
