Disneyland Paris has announced that “next-gen Audio-Animatronics” will be part of the new Lion King ride coming to Disney Adventure World. Disneyland Paris says that work is already underway on the new land, which will feature plenty of dining, shopping, and opportunities to meet some favorite characters. Here’s the latest.

Next-Gen Audio-Animatronics Coming to New Lion King Ride

First, let’s start with the new quote from Disney, announcing that the ride will feature the new next-gen Audio-Animatronics.

Construction is already underway on the first themed area dedicated to Disney Animation’s The Lion King. Set on Adventure Bay, this new land will feature a major attraction combining water-based thrills with next-generation Audio-Animatronics figures and unforgettable songs from the 1994 masterpiece, plunging guests deep into the Pride Lands to follow Simba’s adventures.

Previously, Disney said that the ride would feature “advanced Audio-Animatronics technology”. Now, following the reveal of the next generation of Audio-Animatronics earlier today, the choice in wording can’t be a coincidence.

If we take this information at face value, that means that we could see projection-mapped faces on Audio-Animatronics within the Lion King attraction at Disney Adventure World when it opens in a few years.

Of course, the other bit of news from the quote above is that work is underway on the new Lion King-themed area. Disneyland Paris previously announced that construction would begin in Fall 2025, so this aligns with the announced plans.

When the new Lion King attraction opens at Disney Adventure World, it will take guests to the caves beneath the 120-foot-high Pride Rock. Guests will take their own place in the Circle of Life when they embark on a sensational and musical adventure, moving through iconic scenes and sceneries from the beloved animated movie.
