Imagineering Files Permit for Bluey Transformation of Conservation Station at Animal Kingdom

|

Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a permit for what we assume is work related to the arrival of Bluey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Summer. This is the second permit that we’ve tracked for the upcoming work. The first permit was an interesting permit filed not by Imagineering, but rather by Disney Live Entertainment. Here’s a look at the Imagineering permit that was filed this week.

Imagineering Files Permit for Bluey Takeover of Conservation Station

A new permit was filed by Walt Disney Imagineering this week for “General Construction” at an address resolving to the Conservation Station building at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The permit lists “B Morrow Productions” as the contractor for the work. While BMP is not a contractor that we typically see for Disney work, they are no strangers to the themed entertainment industry. In fact, BMP most recently worked on activations for Halloween Horror Nights at the Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

The permit isn’t particularly illuminating, but we assume it is for work related to the arrival of Bluey and Bingo this Summer at Animal Kingdom.

In case you missed it, here’s the announcement that Bluey and Bingo will be coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Beginning in summer 2026 at Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll be able to take a fun excursion to Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, where you can play and dance with Bluey and Bingo! Play some of your favorite games from Bluey episodes with a fun animal twist, like butterfly keepy uppy.

Grab the whole family and snap some pictures alongside your Blue Heeler pals to remember this one-of-a-kind adventure. Plus, as part of your wild excursion, step outside to discover an experience with animals native to Bluey’s home country of Australia!

Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Conservation Station has had an interesting recent past. Back in September 2018, we broke the news that Disney planned on shutting down the Conservation Station area. The news was confirmed by Cast Members and eventually confirmed by Disney to media outlets.

Weeks later, Disney reversed the decision, keeping Conservation Station open. Since then, Disney has added some activities to the hard-to-get-to venue, which is only accessible by train. Disney has used specialty meet and greets in the past to entice visitation, but nothing will be a bigger draw than when Bluey arrives this Summer. Conservation Station will go from an oft-overlooked part of the theme park to one of the most popular places to visit.

Most recently, we reported on a rumor that the Affection Section petting zoo will be permanently closed ahead of the arrival of Bluey. For more on that rumor, check out our article below!
