Walt Disney World has filed a new permit for work at Conservation Station ahead of the Bluey takeover this Summer. As you may know, the entirety of Conservation Station, along with the Harambe Express train experience, will be closed shortly. This is to accommodate work to transform the venue into a Bluey-themed experience. Here’s the latest on the expected work, and the recently filed permit.

The permit was filed by Walt Disney World, listing the in-house Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC) as the contractor for the work. This is the least exciting type of permit filing, given the lack of information to be gleaned from the Notice of Commencement permit. That said, the permit does list an address matching Conservation Station, which makes it notable.

We’ve been tracking other permits for Conservation Station, including a permit filed in early January by the Disney Live Entertainment branch of the company. This permit indicated that work was underway to create the Bluey-themed character interaction experience. Then, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit that would suggest a set dressing scope of work.

Conservation Station and the Harambe Express will be closed starting February 23rd, reopening later this Summer.

When it reopens, we expect that the Conservation Station building will house the Bluey experience. The Bluey experience will invite guests to play and dance with Bluey and Bingo. Play some of your favorite games from Bluey episodes with a fun animal twist, like butterfly keepy uppy.

Grab the whole family and snap some pictures alongside your Blue Heeler pals to remember this one-of-a-kind adventure. Plus, as part of your wild excursion, step outside to discover an experience with animals native to Bluey’s home country of Australia!

That last line references the Affection Section, which will reopen this Summer with all-new animals native to Australia.
