Shanghai Disney has announced the name of its third themed hotel. The theme park also released a new piece of concept art showcasing the new hotel. Here’s the latest!
Third Shanghai Disney Hotel Named ‘Enchanted Star Hotel’
The third hotel was announced back in 2023, and construction has been moving steadily along since then. The hotel is located along Wishing Star Lake, and the hotel is inspired by the fabled Wishing Star. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in August 2023 for the hotel that will feature 400 rooms.
Shanghai Disney also released new concept art for the hotel.
Located on the shores of Wishing Star Lake, the new hotel will provide extraordinary views of Shanghai Disneyland. It will offer broad family appeal and experiences with exciting new indoor and outdoor recreational amenities and programming.
Influenced by Art Nouveau architecture and design – and infused with Disney storytelling and whimsy – the hotel design will be an homage to Shanghai’s unique early 20th-century architectural legacy. At the same time, it will stay true to Shanghai Disney Resort’s overall planning principle of being “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.”
Continuing the Disney-themed hotel tradition of extending the Disney magic beyond the company’s iconic theme parks, the new hotel will immerse guests in spaces and activities which showcase Disney characters and stories. It will also introduce new dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences. Furthermore, it will provide more options for guests planning multi-day visits to the resort.
Shanghai Disney isn’t stopped there. Late last year, Shanghai Disney announced that a fourth hotel will be coming to the growing destination. The fourth hotel will be located closer to the park’s entrance, and it will also expand shopping and dining. As a result, it will act as a new gateway for guests to enjoy the park.
