Kermit the Frog announced today that the Muppets will appear in the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show. He shared the news on social media and named the show’s full roster of performers. Of course, Miss Piggy jumped in to make sure fans knew that she’d be there too. Here’s the latest!

Kermit posted the announcement today on The Muppets social media accounts. “Don’t forget to watch The Muppets today in the FIFA World Cup final halftime show,” he said. He then listed the performers: Madonna, Shakira & Burna Boy, BTS, Justin Bieber, Gustavo Dudamel, the PS 22 Chorus featuring Coldplay, and “our friends at Sesame Street.”
Miss Piggy quickly chimed in with her own addition. “And, Moi!” she said. Kermit replied that he had already included her under the Muppets banner.
The halftime show marks the first Super Bowl-style musical performance in the World Cup final’s 96-year history. FIFA and the nonprofit Global Citizen partnered to produce the show. Organizers say the performance supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and other Muppet and Sesame Street characters will join the musical acts on the field.
The game kicks off at 3pm, and is contested between Spain and Argentina.
