Boo Buckets are back for Halloween, and Disney’s most famous scene-stealers have taken over the classic pails this year. McDonald’s summed it up with a nod to the theme: “This spooky szn, we’re entering our villain era.” The full announcement fills in several details that were in question when McDonald’s first confirmed the Disney Villains theme last week.
All Five Disney Villains Confirmed for Boo Buckets
McDonald’s says the set includes five designs featuring Jafar, Ursula, Scar, Cruella, and Maleficent. That matches the lineup from the leaked photos we shared on October 13th. In the official artwork, each pail comes in its villain’s signature color: red for Jafar, orange for Scar, purple for Ursula, green for Maleficent, and white for Cruella. Bold black linework frames each face.
Every bucket also includes a lid and stickers featuring characters and details from the villain’s film. McDonald’s describes the lids as villain-inspired. In the promotional artwork, all five share a yellow lid with the Golden Arches cut into the top. The inclusion of stickers lines up with the round sticker sheets from the leak, which showed Ariel on Ursula’s sheet, Aurora on Maleficent’s, and Aladdin on Jafar’s. Kids can decorate their pail with them, so no two buckets need to look exactly alike.

The buckets are available at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. from October 20th through November 2nd, while supplies last. That gives fans two weeks to collect the whole set, with a few extra days after Halloween. McDonald’s has not announced pricing, and Happy Meal prices can vary from one restaurant to the next. The company also has not said whether every location will stock all five designs at once. Collectors chasing the full set may want to stop by early.
The promotion arrives during the final stretch of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which wraps up at Magic Kingdom on October 31st. Villains have a big future at the park, too, after Disney confirmed a Maleficent roller coaster and a Magic Mirror dark ride for Villains Land at D23 in August. Cruella also appears in the land’s backstory, which puts two of this year’s bucket villains on the path to Magic Kingdom.
