Goodbye, Earffel Tower

|

|

Today marks the first day since Hollywood Studios opened that the Earffel Tower hasn’t graced the skyline. An icon of Hollywood Studios since it’s inception, the Earfell Tower represented the Hollywood backlot feel in the park, despite the fact that it was never a functioning water tower. Here are a couple pictures of the Earffel Tower over the years. It was removed overnight last night.

Here’s the view of it from the Tower of Terror. The Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida building can be seen in the foreground.

Another, further, view of it from Mount Gushmore at Blizzard Beach.

In the earlier days of the park, it even got in the holiday spirit.
