Today marks the first day since Hollywood Studios opened that the Earffel Tower hasn’t graced the skyline. An icon of Hollywood Studios since it’s inception, the Earfell Tower represented the Hollywood backlot feel in the park, despite the fact that it was never a functioning water tower. Here are a couple pictures of the Earffel Tower over the years. It was removed overnight last night.

In the earlier days of the park, it even got in the holiday spirit.
It was also used as a promotion piece.
