PHOTOS: Otter Exhibit Drained for Refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

We made it out to a rainy Disney’s Animal Kingdom yesterday afternoon, and wanted to provide an update on the otter exhibit. Walls have been up for a few weeks around the exhibit, humorously sponsored by Otterbox.

The Discovery Island Trails remain open even though they look to be closed off from the main walkway.

A look into the otter enclosure reveals that it’s been completely drained for the refurbishment and the otters relocated either offstage.

No word on how long the refurbishment will last.
